Nomad Ink is a literary agency started by two people who completely fell in love with picture books, the kind with unusual stories and illustrations that spark the imagination and fill you with wonder.

It all started with our boss and unofficial mentor, Mark Koenig (unofficial because we never actually asked him, but we’ve always learned so much from him and looked up to his wisdom 😊) and his wife, Yuri Hatsuse. They introduced us to picture books, and soon we were collecting them, talking about them, and dreaming of seeing Mongolian stories in the hands of children on the other side of the globe. We hoped these stories would bring them the same joy that books from around the world bring to us and our own kids.

Although our journey began with a love for children’s books, Nomad Ink is about all kinds of stories. We celebrate stories in all their forms, fiction or nonfiction, illustrated or written in words alone, because we believe that every story told with heart deserves to travel.
