Zolbootuguldur is an artist and illustrator based in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. She studied Fine Arts at the Mongolian State University of Arts and Culture, specializing in traditional Mongolian drawing techniques. Later, she continued her education at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Poland.
Zolbootuguldur’s artistic style often embodies imaginative, fantastical, allegorical, and symbolic elements, blending surrealism and magical realism to explore dreamlike narratives and poetic worlds.
In addition to her fine art and exhibition projects, she also illustrates children’s books, often featuring her unique characters and distinctive artistic style. In 2023, she participated in the Children’s Book Creation Fellowship Program organized by The Asia Foundation Mongolia, during which she authored and illustrated her debut picture book, which is now in the process of being published by Enchanted Lion Books.
