During her summer vacation in the countryside, a young girl visits her grandfather and discovers a lost chick from a migratory bird species. The tiny bird can swim, dive, and run—but it hasn’t yet learned to fly. With her grandfather’s gentle guidance, the girl spends her days caring for the chick and helping it find its wings.
